There was a similar problem, but it was related to the mysql version (link: DB Error: connect failed)

Dear forum users, please help. I can not find a solution

Regards,
Jamshid Tursunov

create user ‘playsms’@‘localhost’ identified by ‘password’;

instead of

create user ‘playsms’@‘localhost’ identified by ‘’;

Yes, the password is specified, I removed it, in the security brow)).
P.S. from the playsms account I log in to the database without problems, I already tried it.

Hi everybody!!
Any news gentlemen?

With a high degree of probability, I think that this is due to incompatibility of PHP and/or MySQL versions

Jamshid Tursunov

Problem is solved.
Solution
CREATE USER ‘user’@‘localhost’ IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY ‘password’;
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON playsms.* TO ‘user’@‘localhost’;

Maybe someone will be useful.
